This past weekend, we were so excited to feature in The Yorkshire Post about our upcoming virtual farm tour as part of LEAF Open Farm Sunday!

Open Farm Sunday is a marvellous initiative managed by Linking Environment And Farming (LEAF). It is a brilliant day for people to discover first hand what it means to be a farmer - how they grow crops and animals to feed us, shear wool to keep us warm, and generate clean, green energy to keep our lights on.
Each event is unique and based around each farm’s individual story. On previous Open Farm Sundays, we have opened our barn doors for LEAF Open Farm Sunday aficionados to come for a day of learning and adventure on our working farm. We have set up microscopes to look at plant cells from common crops and woodland trees, created genetically modified crop bracelets using coloured beads as different amino acids, sampled soils from the estate, shown people how to make butter from basic farm ingredients, and have provided training in sheep and pony handling, among many other things.
This year, with a focus on safety, Open Farm Sunday has gone virtual, with a Facebook Live event.
We will be taking you on a Wensleydale Experience this Sunday 20th September at 3pm, where we will introduce you to our fantastic curly, hairy and spotty pigs! Join us live on Facebook!
