Redmire Falls

Redmire Force is a multi-drop waterfall on the River Ure a couple of miles downstream of the popular Aysgarth Falls. Indeed it is in many ways like a more modest version of Aysgarth Falls but with the advantage of being much quieter in terms of visitor numbers.

Wensleydale Railway

The Wensleydale Railway is a heritage railway offering a charming journey through the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. Operated largely by volunteers, it runs heritage diesel services, with occasional steam, between Scruton and Leyburn, passing through market towns, villages, and stunning countryside. Visitors can enjoy restored historic stations, special events, and even unique experiences like the Polar Express during winter or driver experience days.

Wensleydale Brewery

Wensleydale Brewery, located just down the down in Leyburn market town, crafts a wide range of real ales, blending traditional methods with innovative flavours. Established in 2003, the brewery has grown from humble beginnings to become a popular local attraction, offering award-winning beers that capture the essence of the Dales landscape. The Fox Pub

The Fox is a friendly and welcoming family-run pub situated on the main A684 road through Wensleydale, in the shadow of Penhill. Dogs and children are welcome.
At the pub you can find:

• A range of cask-conditioned ales including Yorkshire Dales Brewery, Black Sheep and Theakston’s, plus an ever-changing selection of guest ales
